Lavina Chan is a Family Dispute Resolution Practitioner (FDRP) and a Nationally Accredited Mediator registered with the Attorney-General's department and Mediator Standards Board (MSB). She has over 15 years of experience in negotiation with disputed parties, commercial and government bodies to achieve mutually agreed outcomes. Her skill sets includes alternative disputes resolutions, negotiations and advocacy in private and public settings. Lavina has a vision to improve the public awareness and knowledge of alternative dispute resolutions through the current practice and voluntary activities including presentations of mediation service for not-for-profit organisations.
Lavina understands the needs of conflict resolution in the current society so she commits herself to provide premium services to clients at an affordable fee. Lavina builds up her client relationships based on trust, respect and integrity as in mediation.
Lavina is also practising as a Tax Lawyer with 20 years of experience working in commercial and financial sectors (a Fortune 500 company listed in NYSE, an ASX listed company and the world's sixth largest accounting firm) in specializing in tax advice on complex issues, tax audit and risk review and international tax (transfer pricing). Throughout her career, Lavina has been travelling globally (mainly the USA, Canada, India, Hong Kong, Singapore and New Zealand) to liaise with various government bodies and other stakeholders to achieve positive outcomes.
At her early stage of career, Lavina has gained extensive experience in dealing with clients mainly individuals and small to medium sized entrepreneurs. Lavina is down to earth and her high level of professionalism strengthens her rapports with clients.
